Cheer Practice

All Squads practice 3 nights a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) at Gilead Hill Elementary School.

Arrive to each practice at least 10 minutes ahead of time to ensure everyone is ready to start practice promptly.

Practice is always at Gilead Hill School.  If there is a change to the location or time, an announcement will be made.

DO NOT drop of your child if none of your child's coaches are at the field yet.

Times

First Practice:  Tuesday, August 5th  @6:00– 8:00PM

Aug 5th – Aug 22nd:  6:00 – 8:00pm (D Squad 6:00 - 7:30PM)

Aug 26th – end of season:  5:30 – 7:30pm (D Squad 5:45 - 7:00PM)

Uniform Distribution

Uniforms will be distributed Thursday, August 7th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at GHS Activity Room.

The Mandatory Parent’s Meeting is scheduled the same date and time  at the Snack Shack,  so please attend the parent’s meeting first and then come to the Activity Room in the school (GHS) immediately following.  A parent must accompany each cheerleader as the uniforms must be signed out.

A/B squad cheerleaders will need to try on pieces from last year to ensure a proper fit. I suggest they wear a bathing suit or leotard under their clothes so they can try the pieces on.

C/D squad cheerleaders who were measured during registration will have their uniforms to just pick up. They will be bagged and labeled with their name.   C/D cheerleaders who were not measured at registration will need to try on pieces.  So they too should wear a bathing suit or leotard under their clothes

If anyone ordered the sneaker package during registration I believe I’ll have them in time to hand out on the 7th.  We will be offering the sneaker package again during uniform distribution so if anyone is interested you need to pay by cash or check that night.  Cost is $65. Package includes, sneakers, brief, bow, and bag.

All uniform components are furnished except sneakers and cheerleading briefs. However, this year there is a sneaker and brief package offered through Varsity Spirit Fashion and a representative will be available this night to size each girl if they are interested.  Your coach will give you the specifics.  If you have questions or concerns, please contact your head coach or Julie McLaughlin, Cheer Equipment Manager at
